Join a 130 Year-Long Reputation of Academic Excellence

As you begin making preparations to apply for admission to Regis University’s College for Professional Studies (CPS), we want to ensure that you are comfortable with the admissions process, as well as the steps leading up to when you submit your application. Once you have completed these initial tasks, submitting your admission application package in its entirety becomes a much simpler task. We encourage you to follow the steps below as you work toward attending Regis University.

Steps for International Applicants

1. Gather Degree Information and Connect with an Enrollment Counselor

The College for Professional Studies offers a variety of academic programs for some of today’s most relevant professions. Choosing the degree program that best suits your needs can often be overwhelming at first, which is why we recommend that you first request a degree information packet. Additionally, you can contact a Regis Enrollment Counselor who can explain the various options for you and help you choose the program that is best suited to your unique goals. Also, your Enrollment Counselor will help guide you through the application process in order to meet the admission deadline for your program of choice and the start date that you are interested in at Regis.

Language Consultants International (LCI) Prospects: If you are an English language student affiliated with LCI and are ready to start an application or contact our staff to inquire about an academic program, please first email us at info@regis.edu and provide your name, program of interest, and indicate that you are studying English with LCI.

2. Develop a Plan to Finance your Education

As you continue to work with your Enrollment Counselor and gather information, you should start to develop a plan to finance your education. We encourage you to review our tuition, fees, and payment options, consider our financial requirements as you develop your plan, and call our Financial Aid Office at 1.800.568.8932 to discuss additional financial assistance options that may be available to you.

3. Complete your English Language Proficiency Exam

If you are a non-native English speaker, it is necessary to meet the English Language Requirements set forth by Regis University CPS, as we do not have English as a Second Language (ESL) programs available. The minimum accepted TOEFL scores are:

  • TOEFL COMPUTER total score of 213 and Essay (TWE) score of 5.0
  • TOEFL INTERNET total score of 82 with minimum scores of: 24 Writing, 20 Speaking, 22 Reading, 16 Listening

We will waive the English proficiency requirements if:

  • English is your native language, OR
  • You are applying for an Undergraduate degree and have 30 passing credits from a U.S. college or university, OR
  • You are applying for a Graduate degree and have completed a U.S. undergraduate degree, OR
  • You are a Permanent Resident with at least five years of U.S. work experience, OR
  • You send an official letter from your university’s registrar's office stating your university taught the courses using English.

For more information on TOEFL, please visit www.toefl.org

4. Apply for Admission

With all of the information you have gathered and Regis University resources in place, you are now ready to begin the admissions process. Start by completing your admission application – you will complete your application entirely online, and you can connect with your Enrollment Counselor to aid you in completing it. As an International Student, your completed application and required documents must be submitted 30 days prior to your degree program’s standard application deadline.

Applicants (U.S. or non-U.S. citizens) with Undergraduate credits or an Undergraduate degree from outside the United States are required at a minimum* to submit the following in addition to their admission application:

  • Visa: Legal copies of your Permanent Resident Card (front and back) or Visa with I-94 are required. If you have yet to obtain your initial student visa, you will need to apply with the U.S. Consulate in your home country. (In order to apply for a visa, you’ll need to present an I-20 issued from Regis University.) Regis University does not assist online or non-degree seeking students with obtaining a student visa. Therefore, students completing their coursework entirely online will not be issued an I-20. Additionally, if you plan to apply for any type of non-student visa, it is your responsibility to apply to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Office.
  • Credential Evaluation: International students must supply an approved evaluation of their undergraduate credits or undergraduate degree (and, if applicable, transcripts with pre-requisite courses) showing a course-by-course evaluation and equivalence from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S. Send original transcripts to one of the three approved services on the list below. We need an original, official evaluation sent directly to us from the credential service. Have them mail it to Regis University, CPS Admissions, 3333 Regis Blvd., Mail code P-28, Denver, CO 80221-1099.
  • English Proficiency: Applicants must have official TOEFL score reports sent directly to Regis University CPS Admissions (Regis code 4656) if their proficiency requirements have not been waived for one of the reasons listed above in Step 3.

For more detailed information regarding requirements for International applicants, as additional documentation may be required, please contact an Enrollment Counselor at 303.458.4300 or 1.800.944.7667. You can also e-mail a counselor at info@regis.edu.
