About Affiliate Faculty:

Affiliate Faculty, also known as Adjunct or part-time, are contracted per course from time to time as course instructors. These are experienced and practicing professionals with the capability of effectively promoting learning within individual courses and programs. Our Affiliate Faculty all have a minimum of a master's degree and significant experience in fields related to the courses they teach. They are selected through an assessment process and then are oriented. For information about program requirements, application instructions, courses offered, and contact information, select the program within the respective college that you are interested in.

In the College for Professional Studies, we intentionally use the term “affiliate" to designate those faculty members who are contracted from time to time as course instructors. We prefer the term “affiliate" to the term “adjunct" because our affiliate faculty members are significant members of our Regis University community. Our affiliate faculty members are practicing professionals who are carefully selected for their academic and professional abilities to promote learning among our students.

The College for Professional Studies was established in the 1970’s to offer undergraduate degree completion and graduate programs for adults. Today, the College for Professional Studies is recognized as a leader in adult higher education in both the classroom and online. The College is the largest provider of adult degree programs among United States Jesuit universities, and it serves more the 12,000 adult students in four Schools:

The School of Computer & Information Sciences
The School of Education & Counseling
The School of Humanities & Social Sciences
The School of Management

The College utilizes an educational model that includes a commitment to adult-focused pedagogy (sometimes known as androgogy), a centrally developed curriculum that is undergirded by mission and guided by outcomes assessment , and accelerated (theory and practice) learning tailored to adults.

In the College for Professional Studies, affiliate faculty are carefully assessed and selected for teaching. Minimum qualifications are listed below:

Qualifications for Faculty in the College for Professional Studies

All faculty in the College for Professional Studies are required to meet or exceed minimum requirements to achieve faculty status. These include, but are not limited to:
