How to Apply for ASN Membership
To apply for Alpha Sigma Nu membership, you must submit a completed application form, resume, essay and reference letters in one complete packet to the appropriate college identified below.
Step #1: COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM.

STEP #2: OBTAIN TWO LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
Obtain two letters of recommendation. These letters should be from non-relatives and should include specific examples of your active leadership in the service of others. Your leadership and service activities must go beyond the scope of any job responsibilities. Attach this form to each of your recommendation letters and submit them with your completed application.
STEP #3: WRITE AN ESSAY.
Write a 750-1000 word essay that:
- Demonstrates your understanding of the Jesuit educational philosophy and mission
- Discusses your personal integration or application of the Jesuit mission and philosophy
- Is written in an organized, clear manner with good grammar, is typed and follows APA format

STEP #4: UPDATE AND PRINT A COPY OF YOUR RESUME.
STEP #5: SUBMIT APPLICATION, RESUME, ESSAY AND TWO LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION.
Submit your completed application and all supporting materials to the appropriate submission address listed below.
Application deadlines:
- Applications for May 2013 Alpha Sigma Nu inductees must be submitted by February 26, 2013
