Melissa Musick Nussbaum lives in Colorado Springs, Colo. She is coauthor, with Jana Bennett, of Free to Stay, Free to Leave: Fruits of the Spirit and Church Choice. Melissa is a regular contributor to the liturgical journals, Celebration and GIA Quarterly. She is the author of six books and numerous articles. Her work has appeared in Commonweal, Notre Dame Magazine and National Catholic Reporter. She is contributor to Take Heart: Catholic Writers on Hope in Our Time (2007).

J. Bryan Hehir is the Parker Gilbert Montgomery Professor of the Practice of Religion and Public Life. He is also the Secretary for Health Care and Social Services in the Archdiocese of Boston. His research and writing focus on ethics and foreign policy and the role of religion in world politics and in American society. He served on the faculty of Georgetown University (1984 to 1992) and the Harvard Divinity School (1993 to 2001).

Michael Patrick MacDonald is the author of the acclaimed bestsellers, All Souls: A Family Story From Southie and Easter Rising: A Memoir of Roots and Rebellion. He has been awarded an American Book Award, a New England Literary Lights Award, and a fellowship at The Rockefeller Foundation's Bellagio Study Center.
As an activist he has focused efforts on multi-cultural coalition building to reduce violence, and on promoting grassroots leadership from the community. He founded Gun Buyback programs & local support groups which gave voice to adult and youth survivors of poverty, violence, and the drug trade.
