Being Responsible Stewards of Our Earth

Here are some simple recycling tips to make sure you are doing your part.

What can be recycled?

The following materials are recyclable:

  • Plastics
  • Aluminum and steel
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Glass

The following materials are NOT recyclable:

  • Food scraps
  • Plastic bags
  • Polystyrene
  • Cookware
  • Ceramics

How to get it done?

The Regis University Recycling Program is single stream, which means all recyclable material can be dumped in the same bin. No sorting required!

Each residence hall room has a recycling bin inside it.  Just drop your recycling off there.

For bigger items or if the bin if full, there are six recycling dumpsters around campus:

  • Behind O’Connell and DeSmet halls
  • North of the Residence Village (townhomes)
  • West of Main Hall
  • Behind West Hall
  • Behind the Student Center
  • Southeast of Claver Hall

Together we can help preserve our planet

Testimonial

  • “The sustainability movement mirrors Regis’ Jesuit values. What’s good for the earth is good for people. To be sustainable is to be men and women for others beyond us, in our future.”

    Caroline Locke, RC '13
    Director, RUSGA Sustainability Committee
