Health Care Ethics is an integral component of your education
within RHCHP.

The Center for Ethics and Leadership in the Health Professions, envisions a health care system within which dedicated professionals are actively engaged in the moral and practical challenges of today’s health care enterprise, while promoting a just, equitable and effective system for the future. Within this vision, health care professionals engage the ethical issues involved with health care policy as well as the daily ethical challenges found in clinical and organizational settings. These health professionals assume responsibility as moral agents; strive to resolve ethical dilemmas through ongoing, respectful, interdisciplinary dialogue; and, take leadership roles in their advocacy for patients, community, colleagues, and institutions.
The Center for Ethics and Leadership in the Health Professions extends the vision by providing services to professionals from the Rocky Mountain region’s health care community and by contributing to the larger national and international dialogue on health care through scholarship and professional activities. Fellows of the Center are knowledgeable in clinical and organizational ethics, as well as health care public policy, with special attention to the Catholic moral and social justice traditions.
